Hosting suited to the website

A lightweight company website has different needs from an application with user accounts and a database. We match infrastructure, domain configuration and technical setup to your project. Providers, recurring costs and access arrangements are set out in the proposal. Not every project needs elaborate infrastructure.

Deployment and website migration

Before a move, we review the existing site, domains and email setup. Moving a website should not unintentionally affect email delivery. We back up content and settings, prepare the target system and redirects, and coordinate publication. After migration, we check availability and the agreed core functions.

Updates and technical support

Support can cover updates, bug fixes and smaller technical changes. We agree on the components covered, update frequency and response times individually. Hosting alone does not automatically include comprehensive maintenance. This makes it clear which work is included and which requires a separate commission.

Backups and recovery

A suitable backup plan covers relevant files and, where applicable, databases and configuration. Scope, retention and the recovery procedure are defined for the project. Source-code version control is different from a complete operational backup. Credentials and personal data must not be placed in publicly accessible backup files.

Website maintenance agreements and recurring costs

A maintenance agreement should make clear what is covered. Technology, expected changes, backup requirements and response times influence the effort. Before taking over an existing website, we review its current condition.

Account for privacy and responsibilities

Technical planning considers the data the site processes and the services involved. Hosting and embedded functionality need to be reflected accurately in the privacy notice. Contracts, internal deletion procedures and legal assessment need agreement with the responsible parties. Technical support is not a substitute for legal advice.
